Intercom systems are an excellent way to communicate with your family, eliminating the need to raise your voice. However, they've long been reputed as costly to install and expand. Luckily, if you have a Homes of Tomorrow installed OnQ Greyfox Structured Wiring Distribution System in place or are in the process of installing one, there's no need to run new cables or wires in order to establish an intercom system in your home. The Greyfox Intercom System is an expandable broadcast system that will allow you to talk from any unit to all others in the home. The Cat. 5 Intercom 4-Room Kit includes the Cat. 5 Intercom Module that installs in and integrates with any Greyfox enclosure and serves as the central hub for the system, the Main Console Unit, three Room Units, and a Door Unit, as well as a Door Chime so that every connected room in the house will receive a personal alert when a visitor arrives. The Cat. 5 Intercom Module and Main Console Unit are the central components of the Greyfox Intercom System, which will support up to 12 indoor locations, up to three door locations, and one main location. Additional indoor Room Units and Door Units In addition to standard system features like Talk, Door, and volume control, the 3-gang Main Console Unit features LED status indicators, which show such system activity as mute, monitor, or in-use. Additional features include a dedicated door-release button and a dedicated talk hands-free button. The Main Console Unit is installed in a standard 3-gang box and is trimmed out with a standard 3-gang decorator wallplate.
