Infrastructure wiring in the walls adds significantly to the excitement of the home. Having the wire in place for connecting computers, security cameras, home theaters, closed circuit channels, and a host of automation features, makes it so you can take advantage of new and exciting equipment when it becomes available. The time to get this wire in place is when the walls are open.

We currently work along side many self-builders and renovation projects across the New York City area where our expertise, combined with one of the largest range of Home Automation products make us an ideal consultant and installer to have on board.

Each project is managed in-house with a team of experts offering a comprehensive solutions to any project.

Wether you know what you want or need help in designing a project, Audiovision's team are happy to help at all levels, and it's all part of the service, we do not charge for design or advise.

System Design

Once you have finalised the design of the house and which multi-room system you are going for we will provide detailed reports on specific components of the system and we will begin to draw up wiring diagrams using the house schematics or blueprints, we can then provide your builder/electrician with as much detail as possible to complete the install. Building a new home gives you the opportunity to wire each room for future needs.

Build the home of the future, today...

Building a new home provides a unique opportunity to wire it with a plan for future needs. A Home Automation-Ready (HA-Ready) home contains the wiring substructure of the connected home of tomorrow. It means that every room from the front porch to the backyard and from the attic to the basement is wired for your current and future technology needs.

An HA-Ready home is equipped with much more than simple computer networking or a home theater system. And, it is manufacturer independent. You can install any currently available home automation or consumer electronics equipment -- or you can wait and install only those systems you want and at your own pace as your needs and your budget grow. Our upgrade package provides the planning tools needed to wire a home for 9 home automation sub-systems:

  • Security -- pre-installed security sensors for windows, doors, motion, glass break, and smoke.
  • Lighting and Shade Control -- wiring to accommodate all control system interfaces, from X10 light switches to wall-mounted touch panels. Lighting systems control all lights in the home to create moods and accommodate special functions (home theater, security ). Also provided is wiring to accommodate motorized blinds, shades, or drapery. The wiring configuration is designed to work with AC and DC motors.
  • Telecommunications -- dedicated phone line for modem and data communications such as computers, fax, and set-top boxes.
  • Climate Control -- automated climate compensation year-round (A/C vs. window breeze, radiant floor heating and cooling, and occupancy-based zone control).
  • Home Networking -- plug-and-play ready computer network for Ethernet (Cat 5) enabled components. Accommodates Wi-Fi, 802.11, and Bluetooth components.
  • Whole House Audio -- sharing of multiple audio sources with multiple zones. Installation is typically built-in or hidden.
  • Home Theater -- audio/video entertainment system automation to accommodate 5- or 7-channel audio, subwoofer, motorized screen, mounted projector, and direct-view monitor.
  • Surveillance -- wiring to accommodate B&W and color surveillance cameras, with or without audio microphones. May also accommodate a video recording system.
  • Electronic Entry Access -- wiring to accommodate electronic door strikes, door locks, shear locks, doorbell intercoms, and a variety of electronic key systems.
